1. Description of Service

DevNova Tools provides 107+ free, browser-based developer utilities accessible at devnovatools.com. Our tools are designed to help developers, designers and technical professionals work faster and more efficiently.

Our current tool categories include:

• JSON & Data: Formatters, validators, converters between JSON, YAML, XML and CSV
• API & Security: JWT decoder/generator, Base64, hash generators, UUID tools, password generators
• Text & Parsing: Regex tester, diff checker, markdown preview, case converter and more
• DevOps & Infra: Cron builder, timestamp converter, SQL formatter, Dockerfile linter, Nginx config generator
• Frontend Tools: CSS generators, color converter, gradient builder, flexbox and grid tools
• Network & DNS: DNS lookup, IP geolocation, CIDR calculator, port reference
• Encoding & Crypto: AES encryption, ROT13, Morse code, binary and hex converters
• Database Tools: SQL to ORM, schema visualizer, query explainer
• Diagramming: Mermaid editor, flowchart, sequence and ERD diagram tools

2. Disclaimer of Warranties

All tools provided by DevNova Tools are offered "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. This includes but is not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The tools will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free
• The results or outputs generated will be accurate, complete, or reliable in every case
• Any errors or defects will be corrected immediately
• The tools are free from bugs, viruses, or other harmful components

You use these tools entirely at your own risk. Always verify outputs before using them in production systems or making critical decisions.

3. Tool-Specific Disclaimers

Certain categories of tools carry additional limitations you should be aware of:

• Hash & Crypto Tools: MD5 and SHA-1 are cryptographically broken for security purposes. For secure hashing, always use SHA-256 or higher. Do not use hash outputs as a substitute for proper security audits.
• AES Encryption: Our encryption tool uses the Web Crypto API for client-side encryption. While robust, it is intended for educational and testing use. Do not use it as your only layer of security for highly sensitive data.
• Network Tools: DNS, SSL and IP lookup tools query third-party public APIs. Results may be delayed, cached, or incomplete. Do not make critical infrastructure decisions based solely on these results.
• Generator Tools: Values generated (UUIDs, passwords, tokens) are created locally in your browser and are not stored or logged by us. Uniqueness and randomness quality depend on your browser's implementation.
• Code Formatters & Linters: Formatting and linting results are provided for convenience. Always review output manually before deploying to production environments.
• Diagramming Tools: Diagrams are rendered using Mermaid.js. Complex or malformed syntax may not render as expected.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DevNova Tools and its creator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use any tool on this platform
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in tool outputs
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or transmissions
• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill resulting from reliance on our tools
• Any third-party content, services, or APIs used by our tools

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid to use our services — which, since DevNova Tools is entirely free, means our maximum liability is zero.

5. User Responsibilities

By using DevNova Tools, you agree that you are solely responsible for:

• All content you input into our tools and how you use the generated output
• Verifying the accuracy and suitability of results before using them in any environment
• Not inputting personally identifiable information, passwords, private keys, or other sensitive credentials into any tool
• Not using our services for any unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized purpose
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• Not attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our platform

6. Privacy & Data

DevNova Tools is built with a privacy-first approach. The vast majority of our tools process all data entirely within your browser — nothing you paste or type is sent to our servers.

• Client-side processing: JSON formatters, text tools, converters, generators and most other tools run entirely in JavaScript within your browser tab
• Network requests: A small number of tools make requests to third-party public APIs (e.g. DNS lookup, IP geolocation). These requests do not include any data you have entered into other tools
• No accounts: We do not require registration or store any user accounts
• No tracking: We do not sell your data or use it for advertising purposes

Despite these protections, we strongly advise you not to input production secrets, private keys, passwords, or personally identifiable data into any online tool.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any content, data, or intellectual property you input into our tools. We make no claim over your inputs or the outputs generated from them.

The DevNova Tools platform — including its design, branding, code, and written content — is owned by Nirmala Valluri and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute the DevNova Tools platform or its source code without explicit written permission
• Use the DevNova brand name, logo, or visual identity without permission
• Create derivative products or competing services that directly replicate our platform

Open source libraries used in our tools (such as Mermaid.js) remain the property of their respective owners and are governed by their own licenses.

8. Modifications to Service

DevNova Tools is a living platform that improves continuously. We reserve the right to:

• Add, modify, or remove any tool or feature at any time, with or without prior notice
• Update these Terms of Service — continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms
• Temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen circumstances

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes, but are not obligated to do so for minor updates.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from your use of DevNova Tools shall be resolved in accordance with these terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
